#1756 Maintenance Worker Lincoln Way I & II -WA
The Maintenance Worker performs duties including, but not limited to, janitorial tasks, preventative maintenance, minor repairs, and apartment turnovers. As a part of the site team, responsible to ensure a high standard of cleanliness, customer service, and a hazard free environment. This is a full time position reporting directly to the Property Manager. This position will be assigned to a Sacramento-area property. Education: High School diploma preferred. Experience: No specific work experience required. Abilities: Ability to receive direction from the supervisor. Ability to read, write, do basic math, and follow instructions. Ability to work in a collaborative manner, as a member of a site team. Ability to relate professionally with vendors, residents and co-workers. Ability to communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds. Ability to use basic maintenance equipment and tools. Ability to commit to the Mission and Values of Mercy Housing, Inc. Ability to be flexible to change work plans. Ability to maintain a professional personal appearance. Ability to drive a car (and a valid driver's license) in order to run errands etc. Ability to oversee work progress of vendors or outside contractors.
Job responsibilities include:
Complete work orders in a timely and accurate manner. Clean up after work is complete.
Perform repairs on the property, including janitorial duties and painting, basic carpentry or wall repair, plumbing, and electrical.
Clean apartment during turnover process as directed by the Property Manager.
Maintain ground and common areas, including lawns and flowerbeds, shrubbery, parking areas, trash pickup.
Provide on-call maintenance service as directed by the Property Manager. Respond to emergencies as required.
Set up conference room and community space as needed.
Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.
Advise Property Manager of the overall condition of the property.
Maintain a positive attitude with the residents.
Requirements
Knowledge of basic building maintenance required either through training or experience.
