1st Class Instrument & Electrical Technician

MEMC has an opening for a 1st Class Instrument & Electrical Technician at its Pasadena, TX facility, located on the Houston Ship Channel. We are looking for talented, hard-working team players possessing creativity, strong analytical skills, initiative and a commitment to excellence.

Position Requirements:


·        ISA CCST Certification Level II or III strongly desired



OR


·        NICET Level III or IV Certification strongly desired


 


·        I/E Certification or Associate’s degree in Electronics or Instrumentation


·        5 years applicable work experience in chemical plants or oil refineries


·        Requires use of Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel)


·        Strong oral and written communication skills


·        Ability to work in a team environment


·        Willingness to work on up to 480 V electrical systems


·        Willingness to work overtime and carry a pager for call-outs


·        Must work independently with strong trouble shooting skills


·        Knowledge of variable speed AC drive and inverter power supplies is a plus
