Shift hours are 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Requirements:
§ Bachelors Degree in Engineering, packaging, manufacturing or related discipline.
§ Prior experience in a leadership role.
§ Minimum two years experience in a team based manufacturing environment.
§ Good verbal and written communication skills.
§ Computer literacy in Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Preferred skills or experience:
§ Familiar with the basics of LEAN Manufacturing (SMED, 5S, TPM, VSM).
§ Understanding of the engineering process and how it relates to thermoforming.
Responsibilities:
§ Primary job function is to lead, supervise and manage hourly employees in the Thermoforming Department in a team based environment.
§ Interface with Scheduling, Customer Service, Engineering, BFT, Quality, Maintenance and any other department as necessary on production issues.
§ Act as a liaison between management, Pit Crew and Team Leaders to address issues and implement corrective actions.
§ Ensure that training for all processes and procedures is documented, understood, and followed.
§ Responsible for developing the shifts hourly staff for growth and continuous improvement.
§ Responsible for the safety of all personnel which includes training, awareness, weekly safety meetings, leading by example, and auditing. Complete and report to plant manager all accident investigations on shift.
§ Ensure housekeeping duties are performed daily within each work cell and within thermoforming department – including break rooms and restrooms. Ensure personal work area is free from debris and clutter.
§ Facilitate meetings with team leaders daily to communicate issues and agendas affecting thermoforming.
§ Coordinate with Human Resources to administer corrective action a necessary to address behaviors and actions that violate company policies.
§ Rewarding and building on exceptional performance of personnel.
§ Complete and administer all performance evaluations for employees on shift.
§ Ensure that production goals (Safety, Uptime, Set-Up Time, Strokes, Quality, DL/MH, and Scrap, reclaim) are met daily, weekly and monthly.
§ Support Team Leaders in eliminating obstacles related to production and manpower needs.
§ Conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance with safety, quality, GMP, and production procedures.
§ Required to be actively involved in identifying, implementing, measuring, and submitting cost reduction initiatives.
