This position is responsible for developing and executing community relations and sales / marketing strategies in large Medicaid Health Plans for assigned territories. Provide leadership and direction to field based representatives. Primary duties to include but are not limited to:

  • Trains, develops, and coaches a team of approximately 8-13 community relations reps to success.

  • Initiate and lead projects in response to organizational needs.
  • Develop presentations and outreach campaigns.
  • Develop and execute on marketing and community relations strategy to achieve Medicaid goals.
  • Assists in the development of reports providing productivity tracking, and progress summaries of community relations and faith based initiatives.
  • Work cross functionally within the Health Plan to develop marketing campaigns/strategy.
  • Research and evaluate competitive activity.
  • Support and ensure strategy execution.
  • Build and maintain an upbeat, positive culture that inspires a sense of urgency constant innovation, teamwork, and strong commitment to individual and team accountability

  • BA/BS degree, 5 years of marketing or similar experience; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Managed Care/Healthcare experience preferred.
  • Successful outside field territory management experience preferred
  • Strong leadership skills that leverages the strength of the team and the company to achieve success and execution.
  • Enthusiastic, optimistic & certain of victory. Unfazed by rejection and constant change
  • Passionate about serving the underserved and willing to learn
  • Strong organization and time management skills with experience working in high growth, unpredictable environments
  • Experience working with SalesForce.com or other CRM desired
  • Experience developing marketing plans and driving execution of plans
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PPT)
  • Easily builds rapport and establishes relationships with community organizations, local key stakeholders, and team members through effective and persuasive communication
