AUDITOR & SUPERVISOR
CDI ENGINEERING SOLUTIONS HAS AN IMMEDIATE OPENING FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITION TO BE LOCATED AT OUR CLIENT SITE IN ANCHORAGE, ALASKA.
Auditor & Supervisor
Responsibilities
• Train and mentor contract audit team;
• Quality assurance and quality control of contract audit briefs, audit reports and management findings;
• Prepare annual risk ranking matrix of contract spend and the preliminary audit schedule for management approval;
• Assist in establishment of yearly audit schedule and performance metrics for audit team.
• Develop and analyze reports intended to identify potential savings opportunities
• Facilitate or assist in audit entrance and exit meetings.
• Performance reporting on all on-going audit efforts to management;
• Interface with client for common process requirements, reporting and CAPTool conformance;
• Analyze complex contracts; understanding each contract’s terms, conditions, and intent.
• Analyze category spend trends and processes
• Recommends contract changes based on observable needs;
• Higher level ad-hoc projects and analysis as assigned;
• Assist in invoice review and contract compliance related training development and delivery
• Develops recommendation report for pre-payment compliance reviews for management;
• Setup audits in the standard tool for tracking audit progress and results;
Contributes to the continuous effort to improve operations and streamline work processes
Experience & Knowledge
Knowledge of:
• Microsoft Excel; Intermediate to advanced expertise of spreadsheets, pivot tables and lookup functions
• Microsoft Word; Intermediate expertise required
• Microsoft PowerPoint; Intermediate expertise required
• Strong IT Skills in general; data bases, query tools, Visio, Access and any other tool which would facilitate scheduling and testing data with greater accuracy and speed.
• General knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the oil industry.
• In depth knowledge of work and work practices within the oil industry.
• Principles and practices of research, analysis and report preparation
• Principles & procedures of financial record-keeping and reporting
Ability to:
Comprehend and make inferences from written material.
• Determine compliance with contract requirements.
• Produce clear and concise reports with thorough backup to audit findings.
• Develop spreadsheets that arithmetically demonstrate audit findings and support audit exceptions.
• Specify corrective methods to resolve compliance problems both orally and in writing.
• Ability to filter through significant detail and provide business deliverables.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all those contacted in the course of work
• Some audit work may require occasional trips to the field locations.
• Audit work is done almost exclusively in the BP offices; minimal work done off-site.
• BA or BS in Accounting and 10+ years of experience in the field or in a related area
• Local Candidates Preferred
