Senior Planning Engineer
CDI ENGINEERING SOLUTIONS AN IMMEDIATE OPENING FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITION TO BE LOCATED AT OUR CLIENT SITE ON THE NORTH SLOPE.
Senior Planning Engineer
• Assist in development of the program integrated schedule consistent with the Major Projects common process, Small Projects common process and published local common processes.
• Provide quality assurance of detailed schedules covering activities through to the start of operations.
• Provide quality assurance & support for planning activities of the contractors chosen to execute the program of work
• Ensure that schedule learning from complementary work in other Business Units and external companies is appropriately utilized.
• Assist in developing the schedule process, system and procedures to support the program.
• Assess contractors’ and vendors’ schedule submittals for conformance with requirements.
• Provide assurance that the contractors’ schedule systems interface and progress measurement is effectively implemented and consistently applied.
• Promote collaborative information sharing with team members and contractors.
Responsibilities
• Solid broad-based experience in both define and execute phase planning and scheduling on projects, a clear track record of delivery and a willingness and ability to work with all disciplines.
• Well developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to develop and maintain relationships with colleagues and contractors
• Good communications skills
• Well developed support / knowledge management networks
• Understanding of current schedule best practices and demonstrated ability with Primavera P5 / P6
• 15+ years heavy industrial planning / scheduling / project controls experience or, equivalent.
•Excellent teamwork skills, including the ability to work with various sub-teams to resolve issues and reach decisions that are in the best interest of the program
• Experience working with engineering and construction contractors
Experience crafting top-down, full Engineering-Procurement-Construction logic driven networked schedules
