Public Health Solutions, one of the largest independent not-for-profit organizations in New York City, provides a wide array of services to women, children and HIV patients. It also provides administrative support to local government agencies on public health emergency preparedness, direct women's health services, nutrition services, early intervention services, health insurance enrollment and other services.
Position: Program Manager, Public Health Programs

Responsibilities:
' Assists in the daily coordination of administrative support functions (fiscal, purchasing, contracts and human resources) necessary to the efficient operation of specific programs on behalf of federal and State agencies. These include but are not limited to Community Tobacco Control Partnerships, Regional Preparedness Planning, Public Health Emergency Preparedness and STD/HIV Prevention Training Programs.
' Supports the Deputy Director in the oversight and monitoring of large public health programs, including ensuring complete and timely submission of all required reports or other deliverables to funders. This will involve the convening of, attendance at and follow-up of regular weekly meetings.
' Works with program staff in the development and monitoring of program budgets and related reports (e.g., budget modification requests)
' Monitors the progress of assigned projects toward stated goals as reflected in their work plans.
' Assist in the development and preparation of work scopes to be included in consultant contracts.
' Performs other duties, as assigned.
' Bachelor's degree.
' Must be well organized and detail oriented, have excellent writing ability and strong analytical skills.
' Experience preparing grant applications, budget modification requests, and ad hoc reports a plus.
' Must possess excellent computer skills, including the ability to easily develop and manipulate spreadsheets (knowledge of Access a plus).
' Ability to effectively handle several tasks simultaneously, be self-motivated, proactive and solve problems independently.
