ACCOUNT SERVICES SPECIALIST

TradeStation Securities is seeking an Account Services Specialist to work in a professional and rapidly changing environment approving customer account applications in the Account Services Department.  Duties include ensuring all required customer information has been provided on the account application; reinforce department policies and procedures; mentor department Associates and Representatives by delivering training and coaching as needed or directed; and deliver world-class customer service to both internal and external clients. 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

 

  1. Review and approve new account paperwork to ensure all required documents have been provided by potential customers adhering to closely governed policies and procedures to establish Futures, Equities, and Forex trading accounts
  2. Ensure that  firm Customer Identification Program has been properly executed on all accounts that have been submitted for approval
  3. Accurately create, update, and maintain firm’s customer management database
  4. Review customer correspondence for accuracy and compliance with firm’s Written Supervisory Procedures
  5. Subject Matter Expert (SME) providing guidance and direction to both external and internal clients
  6. Identify and provide training and coaching to Associates and Representatives or as directed by Director of Account Services
  7. Ability to step in as needed to complete the roles of Representative and Associate due to changing volume that may require additional resources
  8. Review, post, and manage content on Department’s Share-point site
  9. Serve as a liaison to other internal departments including, but not limited to Sales and New Accounts
  10. Any and all task as assigned by Director of Account Services

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

 

  1. Strong self-starter requiring minimal supervision and direction including, but not limited to a demonstrated knowledge of brokerage operations, customer identification programs, and suitability determinations
  2. Effective problem solving skills to assist Associates and Representatives identify and resolve account opening scenarios
  3. Professional, service-oriented demeanor with pleasant, business-appropriate phone manners
  4. Analytical thinker with the ability to organize, manage and track multiple detailed tasks and assignments with frequently changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
  5. Detail orientation to ensure the accuracy of customer correspondence and databases
  6. Must be proficient with applicable personal computer applications, including proficiencies in Word, Excel and Outlook

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

 

Experience:

  • High School diploma and 2-3 years of prior industry experience in sales support role or brokerage operations or a bachelor’s degree with 1-2 years of experience
  • Must have FINRA Registrations 7, 63, and 24 or Series 3 and 30
  • Experience in managing and executing multiple priorities
  • Knowledge of  practices and procedures used in the securities industry
  • 1-2 years prior training, coaching and management experience a must
