Acquisition Agent will be responsible for negotiating on behalf of the client to acquire commercial and residential properties for right of way projects and will also negotiate business damages under Florida Statutes. This project’s length is anticipated for approximately 3 years and targeted start to be in February/March 2010 time frame.

Requirements:

5 years minimum experience in acquiring property under the federal Uniform Act and Florida Department of Transportation procedures;

Skilled in reading and understanding appraisals, right of way maps, title reports, and design plans

Previous experience working under Florida condemnation law

strong negotiation skills; strong written and oral communication skills

independent thinking; strong organization skills; reliability

Required licensure: Florida Real Estate licensure; valid driver’s license
