¨ Creating first-draft documents from rough, sketchy information or in response to requests
¨ Editing and proofreading documents for content, style, and accuracy (including technical and/or scientific materials)
¨ Preparing presentations from handwritten notes using appropriate software packages
¨ Answering phones and directing incoming requests and faxes to the appropriate personnel; initiating contacts as required
¨ Preparing materials for distribution and presentation at meetings (make labels, assemble binders, etc.)
¨ Utilizing software applications to produce many types of documents (including technical and/or scientific materials)
¨ Preparing agendas and minutes (function as the recorder in meetings by taking notes)
¨ Handling e-mail and voice mail responses on an as needed basis for the business partner
¨ Communicating on a daily basis with the business partner to keep him or her informed of department or other important activities

¨ Planning events and coordinating activities for a small or large number of people at events of up to several days in a local or distant location
¨ Scheduling of multiple video-conferencing and/or teleconferencing meetings, web conferencing, along with one-on-ones, group, staff, departmental, divisional, and Performance Management meetings
¨ Performing general administrative tasks, such as faxing documents and photocopying, including complicated jobs that are multipage, divided, and tabbed
¨ Initiating contact with others outside the department to proactively obtain needed information or to coordinate schedules
¨ Coordinating documentation for extremely confidential corporate projects
¨ Interacting frequently with upper levels of management both internally and externally
¨ Developing and maintaining department files and filing systems, including department personnel files
¨ Developing and maintaining databases and spreadsheets for use in tracking complex activities
¨ Auditing and reconciling financial reports through SAP or Document Direct
¨ Coordinating projects delegated to other areas (duplicating, travel services, mail services, etc.)
¨ Collecting, monitoring and communicating metrics
