Materials Management
2nd Shift (2:00 PM to 10:30 PM Mon - Fri) and 3rd Shift (10:00 PM to 6:30 AM Sun - Thur)

FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt

Overview :
Responsible for partnering with production and production control on scheduling production, material needs, and resolutions for production interruption to ensure successful on time delivery of customer orders. Works from derived plans to ensure all required resources are staged for the efficient execution of task.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for placing picks and moving orders.
  2. Schedules equipment in coordination with Material Planners and Operations Leadership to include determining the run order and assisting in order prioritizing.
  3. Responsible for working with operations personnel and management to research and resolve material variance discrepancies.
  4. Data enter transactions between warehouse and TE systems to ensure materials needs are properly communicated.
  5. Print, prepare, and distribute factory order packets for designated shifts and functional areas.
  6. Participates in campus safety programs as required to include adhering to all EH&S policies and procedures.
  7. Participates in lean manufacturing activities as assigned.
  8. Ensures proper cleanliness of immediate work area in accordance with TEOA guidelines.
  9. Performs other duties as needed or assigned.

2. Education and/or Experience
  1. HS degree required. Associates degree preferred.
  2. Minimum of two years applicable experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  3. Working knowledge of Rock Hill manufacturing processes strongly preferred.

3. Language Skills
  1. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  2. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  3. Ability to speak effectively and present information before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

4. Mathematical Skills
  1. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole number, common fractions, and decimals.

  1. Working knowledge of applicable computer software including Windows, MS Office, and Outlook required.
  2. SAP Production Planning module experience strongly preferred.
