The Direct Sourcing Intern will provide analytical and general business support for the Strategic Sourcing and cross-functional teams in the development and implementation of sourcing and supply chain management best practices including Supplier Performance Management (SPM), supplier development and consolidation, SKU rationalization, product standardization, and overall process improvement of the Sourcing and Product Life Cycle Management of OEM products within ADT NA.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Participate in the Strategic Sourcing initiative teams (including Rally Point project teams) and assist with general operational activities including; publishing meeting minutes, drafting presentation materials, and spend analysis. 2. Participate in activities interfacing with suppliers in the execution of Supplier Performance Management (SPM) and direct negotiations or RFI/RFP’s to achieve cost reductions. Actively participate and support LCC Sourcing initiatives from launch to implementation. 3. Support the development and implementation of a Strategic Sourcing Risk Mitigation program including commodity trend analysis, supplier and market stability, and other sourcing criteria. Engage with other functions within ADT NA, and representatives from other ADT regions and Tyco businesses as necessary. 4. Other miscellaneous duties including but not limited to: coordination with Finance to validate and monitor implemented cost reductions. Develop process improvements to enhance departmental productivity & efficiency. Perform analysis of supplier financial stability as part of new supplier due diligence process.

• Minimum of two years of successfully completed college courses • Working toward Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or Finance
Experience:
• Experience using database reporting tools such as Access highly preferred • Supply Chain experience preferred
