Position Overview:
Develops responses to Requests for Proposals (RFP), Requests for Information (RFI), unsolicited proposals, and develops content for presentations and other documentation for ADT’s National Accounts / Transportation and Logistics target customers. These responses are directly related to ADT Transportation & Logistics Integrated Systems projects / proposals for complex integrated electronic security solutions, including life safety, and fire alarm systems projects.
Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Serves as proposal team coordinator. Coordinates start-to-finish proposal developmentschedule, writing, production, and deliveryto produce compliant proposals that win and submit them on time to the prime contractor or customer. Researches, organizes, writes, edits, and produces content for a wide variety of basic and complex business development technical documents, including ADT responses to RFIs and RFPs. Researches and compiles ADT Transportation & Logistics Integrated Systems reference material for all related projects. Analyzes technical literature available, writes descriptive copy, and verifies documentation with related departments for accuracy and thoroughness. Interface, with all Transportation and Federal system team members including all vendors and manufactures of products used by the Transportation & Logistics group. 2. Ensures documentation, clarity, consistency, style, and terminology are in accordance with ADT proposal standards and that are compliant with the RFP requirements. 3. Determines the use of graphics, visual aids, tables, and photographs to support written text. 4. Assembles engineering documentation for standard and new ADT systems equipment. This documentation includes, but not limited to the following integrated systems: • Access Control/Door Control Systems • CCTV/MATV Systems • Database Management Systems • Fire Alarm Systems • Life Safety Systems • Intercom/Sound Systems • Perimeter Alarm Systems • Personal Alarm Systems • Fiber-optic Systems. • 5. Ability to multi-task by coordinating multiple projects, by working with diverse teams, by establishment and utilization of project time-lines, and create and meet established deadlines. Ability to establish and maintain logical documented process flows. 6. Ability to develop an understanding of the fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures in the field of the Transportation sub segments, Airlines, Metro Transit systems, Maritime companies, Bus companies, Rail, Logistics and Trucking companies.

Requirements:
Requirements: Education: BA Degree Candidate, journalism or English majors with excellent research, information gathering and writing skills. Some engineering or courses in computer programming and mechanical engineering desired but not mandatory. Experience: Prior related experience in technical writing, design, and layout demonstrated by published materials or other documentation helpful. Prior proposal writing experience on Federal Projects preferred Skills: Excellent oral and written communications skills Ability to work independently and communicate with all levels of management Knowledge of work processing and other similar documentation and graphic arts tools such as Adobe Acrobat, MSWord, MS Excel, MS Project and MS Power Point Ability to transfer Customer request for proposal requirements and technical detail into readable, usable ADT proposal responses
