AIRCRAFT QUALITY CONTROL INSP

This job classification is covered by a collective bargaining agreement

Specific Knowledge, Skill, & Experience Required:

This inspector implements quality control and safety plans to ensure compliance with the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) contract specifications and applicable contractor regulations. Inspects all maintenance activity for CBP P-3 aircraft and systems for conformity to established quality, health and safety, and operational standards and to ensure all quality services are performed in a satisfactory manner. Candidate will be expected to prepare required periodic reports and submit them to the Branch / Site Manager and coordinate any changes with the local FAA Representatives. Position may require travel, shift-work, scheduled and unscheduled overtime and weekend work. Must possess analytical ability to objectively evaluate another individuals work performance from the prospective of quality/safety, have a positive attitude, be a self-starter, work well with others and have the physical ability to lift and handle heavy objects. Employment is dependent upon successful background security and drug screen.

Qualifications:
- Must have a minimum of 7 years of experience in aircraft maintenance, with the last 2 years in a full time aircraft maintenance quality assurance program.
- Must have above average working experience of P-3 aircraft and systems, with general aviation and systems knowledge
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant Certificate
- Must possess a current Inspection Authorization (IA)
