We have an immediate need for an APPLICATION PACKAGER WITH IMAGING EXPERIENCE

JOB DESCRIPTION
Overview:
Packaging, Software distribution, SMS/SCCM, Desktop OS, and general application knowledge, Troubleshooting and HP OpenView/ManageNow/Remedy, or other change management tool.



Technical Skills
Requires detailed knowledge of Windows XP & Vista OS, windows registry,
Applications and application packaging, and computer drive imaging
technologies ( Symantec Ghost, Microsoft ImageX, etc.), and client
platforms and related hardware. Diagnoses different types of customer
image failures, and provide detailed analysis, reporting and resolution
of all failures. Image creation, or downloading an image for audit &
creating the CD/DVD).Knowledge of Windows XP & Vista OS. Familiar with
the OS components and tools, such as Windows registry and regedit.exe.
Experience with application installation. Be able to create scripts and
use appropriate command line options to install applications unattended.
Very familiar with DOS command line tools, batch files and scripting.
Experience in troubleshooting problems within batch files and VB scripts.
Proficient at programming with script languages under Windows environment,
such as VB script. Be able to create and debug batch files and VB scripts.
Familiar with scripting WMI (Windows Management Interface) objects.
Knowledge of application packaging. Familiar with most of the software
packaging formats and the installation behaviors, such as MSI,
InstallShield, and Wise Installer. 3+ years of technical support experience
a plus.
