APPLICATION SYSTEMS ANALYST

TYBRIN is currently seeking an Application Systems Analyst at Goodfellow AFB, TX. The successful candidate will:

  • Provide software system support and perform or assist site operators in the performance of typical system administrator and network management duties.

  • Install software patches, investigate and report software anomalies/deficiencies using government approved maintenance tracking systems, and configure software to accommodate operational requirements.

  • Coordinate with site personnel in the maintenance and configuration control of operational systems software baselines.

  • Assist other analysts, technicians and site personnel in problem identification and resolution.

  • May also perform as an advisor or trainer for site operators and maintainers.

  • Develop procedures to operate and support the system by site personnel when technical data is unavailable or inadequate.

  • Provide system administration support to tasks such as mission data backup and restore, database maintenance, user account creation and maintenance (with government oversight), data archiving, performance of data integrity checks, communication-port configuration, security incident reporting, and field level Time Compliant Technical Order (TCTO) instruction compliance (to include software baseline upgrade support).

Experience Required:

  • 3 years of specific experience and 5 years of general work experience

  • Must be able to obtain DoD 8570 Level II certification within 6 months of start

  • Must have the ability to analyze and troubleshoot hardware, software and Windows OS issues

  • Knowledge of commercial backup and restore software solutions

  • Must have effective written and presentation skills

  • Preferred experience working on systems in the DoD ISR community
