ATM/Kiosk Software Testing Technician - Las Vegas, NV - Global Cash Access, Inc, ( NYSE: GCA) headquartered in Las Vegas, Nevada is seeking a highly qualified candidate for ATM/Kiosk Software Testing Technician positon. The ATM/Kiosk Software Testing Technician will provide “hands on” results of the Global Cash Access User Acceptance Testing Program. This will include testing of existing products and products in development to support our cash access businesses. The scope will include software and hardware for Kiosks, ATM devices, Customer Facing User interfaces, Back Office business systems and other cash access solutions. The technician will test plans and test scripts for multiple products, recreate product environments, report testing results and recommend changes as needed or determined necessary to maintain the ongoing program. The position must be familiar with standard plans and protocols specific to the payment industry and/or gaming devices along with requirements of the gaming industry. The position will ensure directives are completed in a timely fashion as directed.  May train new employees on procedures.

Requirements:

  • Ensures testing is completed within established time and that objectives conform to the user requirements and line of business
  • Complies with defined change processes required by SOX and other regulatory entities, providing documented evidence of testing and acceptance 
  • Support testing for a range of projects from defect fixes and enhancements to strategic initiatives
  • Progresses development items efficiently through the project delivery cycle
  • Promptly escalates any process roadblocks, issues and risks (resource, environments etc) Manager, UAT.
  • Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability
  • Demonstrates the ability to work individually and within a team
  • Demonstrates the ability to manage multiple tasks in a rapidly changing environment
  • Demonstrates the ability to drive workload with moderate supervision.

 

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in Information Systems or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 2-4 years in a User Acceptance Testing role.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Payment Industry knowledge and experience desirable
  • Gaming industry testing and licensing experience a plus.
  • Hands on experience developing and using software requirements and specifications
  • Experience debugging software in a multi system/server/vendor environment
  • Experience of testing methodologies and managing test cycles.
  • Experience in communicating accurate and timely status reports.
  • ISEB foundation certificate in software testing or similar credentials highly preferred.
  • Experience using automation tools.
  • Experience in project delivery.
  • Expert experience with Microsoft Office applications along with working in a Windows operating systems environment.
  • Experience with various project planning tools and methodologies. 
  • Solid understanding of networking and networking equipment, server and PC hardware, various platforms including Linux and Windows, read basic code/scripts and basic database management.

 

Other:

  • Must be comfortable working in a cubicle with limited working space for long hours with the ability to remain seated at computer terminal for extended periods.  Extreme repetitive motion using keyboard, mouse, telephone.  Position can be high stress and extremely fast paced.  Ability to handle directive, assess situations, enter into dialogue and complete tasks.
  • Moderate: Work receives general direction toward accomplishment of major program or project objectives.  Employee must draw on available resources to accomplish end result.  Supervisor reviews work for progress toward achievement of objectives.
  • Business Casual with occasional professional dress required.
  • Minimal Travel 5 to 10% based on the need of the business.
