AVP, Mortgage Underwriter

About the Job

The candidate for this position must be able to complete all facets of an underwriting review of closed residential mortgage loans to determine adherence to FNMA, FHLMC, FHA or VA requirements (as applicable).  The underwriter should also have a working knowledge of federal, state, and local compliance requirements, and the ability to complete the applicable testing using compliance software.
This position is part of Transaction Management within Structured Products/RMBS group and is a front office role.


 


Qualifications


• Five or more years of mortgage underwriting experience
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• Good mathematical skills
• Working knowledge of federal, start and local compliance requirements
• Strong attention to detail
