Averett University’s Graduate and Professional
Studies program is hiring for the Academic Advisor
position.

The Academic Advisor
works closely with the non-traditional student to ensure degree completion.  The
position is an instrumental part of our students’ success.  Under general
supervision, as their advisor, you will work closely with new and continuing
students throughout their academic program to meet their educational needs to
include appropriate course assignment, paperwork and successful resolution of
student issues.

We are seeking the
following qualities:

• Bachelor’s Degree
  required; Master’s Degree preferred
  
  
• 2 years of
  experience in academic advising, student services, social services, training and
  development, or related positions required.
  
  
• Ability to present
  information effectively in front of large groups and with
  individuals.
