Potential territory could include the following: Ft Belvoir, Pentagon, NGB, Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Ft Monmouth. Only those with proven experience should apply.
Purpose of the Position: Account Executives work within an assigned territory in the field for their particular business segment. Account Executives build relationships in person by selling technology products and services to our customers. The Account Executive's primary role is as follows:
• Profitably grow revenue for target accounts in partnership
with inside sales team
• Provide in-depth customer technology roadmap and
collaboratively work with inside Account Manager to
uncover new sales opportunities
• Develop partnerships with Vendor Field Sales
Representatives and optimize the joint selling
opportunities within the territory
• Build market awareness of CDW through
participation in local/regional industry events,
organizations and affiliations
Essential Functions: Account Executives will be expected to consistently and continually develop product knowledge and sales skills by participation in ongoing product and skill training opportunities provided by CDW and outside sources. In addition to training, Account Executives will be expected to perform the following:
• Sales goal achievement
• Build customer loyalty
• Category penetration
• Account contact development
Additional Responsibilities: Account Executives will be expected to perform the following responsibilities:
• Customer/Vendor Management:
• Develop solid business relationships
within the various decision-makers and
influencers at all levels at each target account.
• Understand each target customer's business
model and map organization and identify their
unique needs.
• Engage local vendor field representatives,
collaborating sales efforts and partnerships with
target accounts including uncovering new account
opportunities
• Strategic Management:
• In collaboration with the inside AM,
document and execute account penetration
strategies for assigned accounts.
• Identify potential acquisition accounts and
introduce the CDW value proposition to key
decision makers within the account.
• Work with Sales Managers and develop
relationships with possible service partners
Qualifications:
Minimum Basic Qualifications:
• 3+ years experience following areas:
o Prior experience with Army Customers
o Prior experience with Army Approved Vendor Partners
• History of capturing Federal Government business valued at over $10 million / year
Required Qualifications:
• Must be able to travel through the assigned territory, with
occasional travel required outside the territory
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Effective interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
• Excellent sales skills with a high level of motivation and enthusiasm
• Strategic planning skills
• Excellent time-management skills
• Exceptional attention to detail and follow up skills
• Must provide own transportation
Preferred Qualifications:
• College degree
• Experience selling within Commercial or Public
Sector budget and procurement cycles, as appropriate
