The Active Network is currently seeking a proven, enterprise sales performer based in the DC area with experience selling to Associations to help us develop and grow loyal customers in the Events market. Previous Event sales experience in addition to technology sales experience is highly desirable.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Reporting to the Director of Sales of ActiveEvents, this senior level job requires sharp custom event strategy and insight as well as hands on experience in developing and deploying global event technology and services. As an Account Executive, you will be responsible to develop new business opportunities specifically in the Association market.
We are looking for driven sales executives, with excellent customer service, proven leadership skills, and a high level of enthusiasm. Your success will be based on an ability to work with the team to grow enterprise sales within ActiveEvents by helping increase revenues through new and renewable business relationships.
Responsibilities include:
• Cold calling prospective clients
• Setting up meetings with prospective clients
• Strong consultative face-to-face relationship building with new clients
• Promoting and selling software applications
• Building trust, loyalty and solid long-term relationships with key decision-makers
• Understanding current and prospective customers’ business issues and buying motives
• Conducting “needs analysis” for clients
• Delivering the right solution for clients’ evolving business requirements

Requirements:
• 5+ years business-to-business sales / consulting experience with a proven successful track record selling into the Association market
• Position based in the DC area
• Ability to deliver on growth, selecting and qualifying opportunities, and achieving sales objectives with business customer accounts
• Knowledge of selling technology/service solutions into corporate America/Association business a great asset
• Strong face-to-face sales consultative skills
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, customer-focused, strong communication and organizational skills, goal oriented, and self-motivated team player
• Ability to learn, use and understand technology
• Team Player
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure, fast paced environment
