POSITION OVERVIEW:
Job Summary Sells through door to door solicitation to a cross section of small business customers which may include more complex accounts. Responsible for selling communication solutions including high-speed data, Internet, video and voice for assigned area by promoting the features, benefits and value of Charter Business products and services. Achieve revenue, product and customer goals by developing and maintaining strong relationships with prospective customers. Responsible for all sales activities, from lead generation through close in an assigned territory. Develops and implements agreed upon Territory Plan which will meet both personal and business goals of expanding customer base in the territory. Works within the sales and support teams for the achievement of customer satisfaction, revenue generation, and long-term customer goals in line with company vision and values. Essential Functions of the Position Contribute to the Company vision of being the industry leader in customer service through quality, commitment, courtesy and teamwork Create a positive end-to-end customer experience by demonstrating the Good Neighbor Values of being helpful, cooperative, trustworthy, responsive and resourceful. Identify, qualify and develop positive, professional relationships with prospective business customers Solicits customers through door-to-door contact and explains and sells specialty services available to business customers Manage the sales cycle for the customer to close the sale and provide effective business solutions Responsible for sourcing and developing customer relationships and referrals Develops a database of qualified leads through referrals, telephone canvassing, face to face cold calling on business owners, direct mail, email, and networking Complete all necessary paperwork to support sales activities including sales orders, sales agreements, billing forms and sales reports in a manner consistent with quality control guidelines Complete understanding of pricing and proposal models Demonstrates selling skills and product knowledge in all areas listed above that allows the Account Executive to give effective presentations Develop a territory plan in conjunction with Sales Manager, which details activities to follow, which will focus the Account Executive on meeting or exceeding sales quota Assists in the implementation of company sales and marketing plans as needed Maintains accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities within assigned territory, including the use of Salesforce.com to maintain accurate records to maximize territory potential Maintains minimum sales quotas Attend and participate in sales meetings as established by management Perform other duties as requested by supervisor Preferred Qualifications Skills/Abilities and Knowledge Ability to communicate orally and in writing in clear and straightforward manner Ability to maintain confidentiality Ability to prioritize and organize effectively Ability to use personal computer and software applications Knowledge of communications technologies and services, with an emphasis on telephone and Internet fundamentals Vision ability: close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus Education Bachelors degree in marketing, advertising or related field, or equivalent experience Related Work Experience Number of Months Sales experience 2 years Certifications and/or Licenses Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record Working Conditions Office environment and / or outside environment with exposure to inclement weather Exposure to moderate noise levels
