We are seeking a well-organized, strategic thinker to promote and implement marketing and sales initiatives to increase utilization, expand our existing referral base, and improve profitability. Once you gain a working knowledge of all facility services, you’ll represent the center and professional staff on sales calls to clinicians, managed care organizations and current prospective clients.

Examples of Essential Functions:
  • Working knowledge of all facility services and capable of effectively representing the center and professional staff on sales calls to clinicians, managed care organizations, and current prospective clients.
  • Assist referrers in accessing the high quality capabilities of the company’s services by establishing and maintaining close relationships between the facility and clinicians, hospital customers, managed care organizations, and third party payors.
  • Prepare a variety of reports and correspondence including data reports on activities, expenses, referrer’s satisfaction, quality issues, and market needs.
  • Provide accurate and timely information on diagnostic imaging services and demonstrate to customers the benefits derived from utilizing these services. Keep referrers and prospects updated as to new services and capabilities.
  • Maintain a thorough familiarity of the services and capabilities of other diagnostic imaging providers including competitive profile, price surveys, and professional staffing.
  • Stay abreast of new developments and trends in diagnostic imaging and health care industry in order to be capable of understanding referrers and prospects needs and with the assistance of the professional staff, to provide workable solutions to referrer’s requirements.
  • Respond to customer and patient complaints and make recommendations to management regarding good-will building.
  • Advise management of any information pertinent to the company’s activities, gathered as a result of observations made in the field. Report information regarding new services, activities of competitors, upgrades in capabilities and referrer’s needs, etc.
  • Follow up on all marketing/sales leads as quickly as possible. Make new calls on potential customers to stimulate interest in the company’s services.
  • Organize and participate in office staff lunches and clinician educational seminars to inform referrers and their personnel of the capabilities and services available.
  • Maintain complete and up to date records regarding customer and referrers use of the facility.
  • Participate in annual budget preparation and work with management staff to meet expected revenue goals.
  • Show increasing expertise and professionalism in: clinical contracts, managed care contracting, diagnosis of referrer’s needs, and community education.
  • Develop prospects for new revenue generation opportunities. Develop proposals, conduct due diligence feasibility studies, present and assist in negotiations with customers.
  • Work with Sr. AE to design, development, and procure marketing materials.
  • Assist in contract renewals for existing business.
  • Comply with all applicable laws, rules and regulations, the company’s policies and procedures, and The InSight Integrity Program.
  • Perform other projects/tasks, as requested by the Company.


    The ideal candidate has:
  • Two to five years previous marketing/sales experience, preferably in healthcare industry.
  • Associate’s Degree in related field or equivalent work experience.

    Desirable:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing.
  • Previous marketing experience in radiology.

    Knowledge:
  • General knowledge of medical billing/collection procedures.
  • Medical terminology.
  • Customer service principles and techniques.
  • Sales and marketing principles and techniques.

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Possess demonstrated interpersonal, public speaking, and sales skills.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills, problem solving and strategic thinking skills.

    Special Requirements/Certification:
  • May require extensive travel.
