Position Description

Open Text’s Connectivity Solutions Group is looking for a high-energy, driven sales professional with B2B sales and major account management experience, and software solution sales experience.  A good understanding of content / data integration, information management, host access, application delivery or related technologies is highly desired.

The Account Executive will join the US sales organization to grow Connectivity business revenue and market share in the US.   Candidates located in NY, NJ, FL, GA, Chicago and the San Francisco Bay area will be consider first for this position. 

Position Requirements

Primary Responsibilities:
• Drive sales of Open Text’s Connectivity software licenses and services to achieve quota from assigned territory or account base.
• Build and manage relationships in assigned accounts, and present value proposition of Connectivity solutions to senior executives and managers.
• Adopt published consultative sales methodology and manage complex sales-cycles from identification to development to closure of sales opportunities.
• Forecast sales pipeline and use CRM system effectively, and own all aspects of account management and customer relationship management in assigned territory/account base.
• Contribute towards achievement of team targets and goals.


Skills, Attributes and Education
• 5+ years of direct quota carrying technology sales and account management experience. Software industry sales experience preferred.
• Must possess excellent prospecting, account management, and closing skills. Track record of success (exceeding quota) in previous jobs.
• Have a good understanding of solution selling sales cycle, and related sales methodologies.
• Strong telephone selling skills, communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• High energy level, strong work ethic, integrity and high level of accountability.
• Experience with Microsoft Office. Preferred knowledge of CRM and BI business tools for day-today sales activity management and Customer Relationship Management.
• University Degree required.
