Account Executive - Security, Networking & Voice Solutions

We are seeking an experienced technology Account Executive to join our Security, Networking and Voice Solutions practice.  Individuals in this role will sell a variety of Security, Networking & Voice solutions, including: Cisco Security (Firewalls, Intrusion Detection Systems), Cisco Networking (Routers/Switches), Cisco VoIP solutions (Cisco Call Manager, Unity and Contact Center,)  IBM ISS products/services including managed services, and 3Com Networking/VoIP.     

 

You will be expected to achieve or exceed an annual gross profit goal within an assigned geographic territory, calling on senior executives and decision makers to identify, develop, and close business opportunities that benefit our clients and Sirius.  We offer a competitive compensation and benefits plan, strong technical pre & post-sales resources, and a responsive, efficient inside sales support team.

 

Position requirements include: 

  • Minimum two (2) years Security, Networking or VOIP sales experience - required
  • Minimum two years (2) working for a Cisco or IBM ISS Channel Partner - required
  • History of strong sales performance, with achievement at or over quota
  • Demonstrated territory management skills including strong prospecting and lead development skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent formal presentation skills before both small and large groups
  • Ability to lead and coordinate a team of resources to quickly and profitably to secure business
  • Demonstrated problem solving, negotiation, and follow up skills
  • Ability to successfully match client needs to appropriate software and services
  • Excellent customer service and account management skills
  • Ability to work independently with little or no supervision (Potential virtual office in some territories)
  • In depth product knowledge
  • Creative selling techniques
  • Product certifications preferred (Cisco Sales Expert, Cisco Certified Networking Associate, Cisco Security or VOIP Sales Specialist, IBM ISS Sales Specialist)
  • Excellent ability and high desire to “network”
  • Strong understanding of ROI (return on investment)
  • Familiarity with contract terminology preferred
