Positions: Orion currently has Account Executive positions open in Austin, TX, San Diego, CA,  and in Raleigh, NC.  Orion hires former or transitioning military people for these positions as well as experienced sales representatives from the Recruiting Industry. 

Account Executive: This is a sales position that involves identifying and working closely with America’s leading companies in order for them to hire military members.  Your job is to uncover companies that are hiring either now or in the future, or that need some consulting advice in developing a smarter hiring program.  This position requires you to build relationships with these client companies by providing the Orion standard in customer service.  As an account executive your daily activities will include identifying, educating, and visiting client companies that value the qualities found in a military candidate.  This is done through cold calling, constant communication, on-site presentations, and networking.  Account Executives will also interact with their candidates identified for their companies by providing a complete background on the position, company and industry. You must be persuasive, persistent, and honest throughout the whole process.  You are responsible with the development of your territory and given a lot of autonomy in how you develop it.  Orion will help in targeting certain industries, providing call lists, and making sure you have the professional skills to be successful in your career.  Your career progression can lead into management or onto our national sales team. Our reputation starts and ends through the day-to-day interaction of our account executives, client companies and candidates.  As an account executive you will continue to grow and continue this reputation on our team. 

Summary:

  • You will basically be a custom-solutions developer for top U.S. corporations, which will include presentations to Sr. Vice Presidents of Fortune 500 companies, down to plant managers.  Conduct visits to company sites.  Create the best solution possible to deliver top talent to companies, while helping them reduce their turnover, etc.  You might even be involved in helping a major corporation develop a Leadership Development Program that includes military hiring.
  • Orion offers a TEAM recruiting environment—a very unique structure that no one else in the recruiting business has—military OR civilian.
  • Travel once – twice per month, which involves attendance at National Hiring Conferences (once every month or two), where you will facilitate candidate training and interviews with your client companies.  Also conduct client visits at offices, plants, etc., in cities in your region.

Compensation and Benefits: Orion is focused on being competitive in salary as well as developing its employees in a competitive job market environment.  We offer a substantial salary plus bonus initially that will lead to a salary plus commission structure.  We also include a 401k plan, medical and dental benefits and disability.  At Orion, we believe in promoting our top performers in a company that is focused on growth.  We like to foster a better team environment and family environment for you, by giving you a decent, competitive base salary and bonus for your first 4 – 6 months, then allow you to transition to salary plus commission. 

Salary / Compensation:  First year expected earnings (average of all 1st year AEs) 70k +.  2nd year average W-2 is 118k.  One second year AE is earning a 200k+ income.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of contingency recruiting sales experience if not former military
  • Knowledge of sales in a recruitment environment.
  • Excellent presentation skills, high energy, and a strong will to overcome any obstacle.

**Relocation for this position is not available.  Employees MUST work out of one of our offices.**
