 Account Manager – DIAGNOSTIC BUSINESS Unit- U.S.
Ideally based in East Coast  or West Coast U.S.

Responsibilities:
•      To maximize sales growth and market visibility of the DBU Bulk Antibodies, Custom Services and CPG Media by continuing to develop the evolving growth strategy and generating new leads by identifying opportunities in the targeted Diagnostic market. 
•      Meet or exceed orders and sales targets in assigned accounts in N. America and continuously monitor quarterly and annual sales targets to ensure all orders are handled and delivered to meet customer expectations.
•      Provide detailed and accurate forecasts for the designated territory with quarterly reviews of those forecasts.
•      Dedicate 30-40% of his/her time to visiting customers and growing the business by continually reinforcing the message behind the Bulk Products and Services portfolio. Maintain close relationships and identify new opportunities.
•      Participate in trade shows, present the DBU products and technical information and monitor competitors’ products.
•      Acts as a primary point of contact for assigned accounts and takes the lead role in responding to customer inquiries, generating quotations, coordinating plant audits and initiating contract negotiations.
•      Follows up and qualifies all leads coming into the North America Bulk/Custom antibody group, via telephone, email or Salesforce.com and distribute them if necessary.
•      Proactively market to all DBU antibody customers using various field marketing techniques: email blasts, direct mailers, trade shows, and special marketing programs. Follow up by telephone to the target accounts.
•      Consistently reinforce to our customers through field marketing activities Millipore’s message of quality products and service for the Diagnostic antibody industry.
 
 
  
Skills and competencies:
 
·         Degree in Sciences (Chemistry, Biology, Immunology) with an understanding of applications and processes in the Diagnostic industry, including Immunoflourescence, ELISA, Immunohistochemistry, Flow Cytometry, and Lateral Flow Diagnostics.
·         Extensive product and application knowledge in the Diagnostic Market, particularly surrounding antibodies, antigens and other reagents (calibrators and controls.)
·         Proven track record with customers in a sales role, highly motivated and goal orientated.
·         Excellent organization skills in order to handle several technical questions in multiple technologies areas at each step of the sales activities (selling phase, technical precision, complaints)
·         Need to have a strong commercial acumen, be goal orientated, and understand Millipore’s products (eventually cross divisional as well) in order to be successful in this role,
·         Highly self-motivated person, capable of working with minimal direction, while possessing strong time-management and organization skills. Key to this is the ability to build strong customer relationships.
·         Self-starter, proactive individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to be work autonomously.
