Your primary mission as an Account Manager, based in our Washington, DC office, will be to increase revenue from our existing customer base within PR Newswire's Public Interest business sector. Your professional account management experience with organizations including associations, advocacy groups, government agencies, political organizations & campaigns, Congressional offices, labor unions, foreign embassies, colleges & universities, museums/cultural institutions, think tanks and foundations in the Washington, DC area will allow you to hit the ground running. Your ability to stay current and understand the communication and development needs of our clients will enable you to make effective recommendations of products and services. Previous sales experience and a consultative sales approach will be essential to your success. While this is not required, a background in selling to the government/non-profit sector or selling advertising/audience targeting services will give you an edge when understanding how our products and services help customers solve business challenges.
