Account Manager II/III

Work location: New York City, NY

This is an exciting opportunity to join a top sales organization that is growing. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a book of business in the large group segment, including Insured, Self-Funded, and alternate funded accounts. The focus will be on retention and cross selling of our Specialty Products, including Vision, Dental, Life and Disability.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Defines and oversees the execution of account management and retention strategy for a defined book of accounts.
- Identifies opportunities for cross selling our Specialty products to support our integrated whole health model.
- Supports pursuit of new business opportunities either directly with a broker/consultant or potential client, or through a team approach with field office sales staff.
- Responsible for growing Specialty Business within existing accounts.
- Will actively participate in sales finalist presentations, RFP responses, proposals, client presentations, and underwriting coordination on renewals and new business opportunities.
- Develops positive business relationships with brokers, consultants, and key decision makers to provide top line service to clients.
- Acts as the Liaison to our brokers and clients to educate on the integration of Health and Wellness.
- Manages the annual renewal process for accounts, including underwriting negotiation, preparation of renewal analysis, and client presentations.
- Will play a strategic role on the implementation of new accounts to be managed on the book of business to ensure smooth implementations.
- Will be a mentor to the team that will support their book of business to make sure all client expectations are met.

Requires a BA/BS; 2-4 years of experience in account management or sales; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

- Must be strategic, proactive, and act as a true consultant to brokers, consultants and clients
- Strong written and presentation skills necessary
- Must possess the ability to be creative and find solutions for clients
- Must be responsive and a team player.

- Healthcare industry experience is required.
- Sales license required will be required
- Ability to travel as necessary.

Account Manager II - 2 years of experience

Account Manager III - 4 years of experience
