We need talented, motivated, tech savvy, service-oriented Account Managers looking to build a career in an exciting, complex industry. Our comprehensive catalog includes over 100,000 products from more than 400 vendors, covering all segments of the foodservice industry. Don’t know anything about foodservice? No problem. Rookies receive 30 days of training prior to hitting the phones, followed by a multi-level certification and promotion program.

This challenging position offers a competitive base salary plus commission. Base salary increases are governed through achievement in our internal certification program.
Specific Responsibilities
- Aggressively pursuing and exceeding monthly and annual margin quotas.
- Managing and maintaining opportunity, contact, and account records in Salesforce.com
- Pounding the phones to turn one-time purchasers into repeat business by identifying and connecting with key decision makers during daily outbound call campaigns.
- Landing new accounts by expertly handling and converting inbound opportunities
- Data-mining thousands of Accounts to identify business that is under producing.
- Creating official sales quotes and wrangling the sale from the competition
- Dedicating your personal time to learning the industry and understanding the products.
- Participating fully in mandatory product training sessions, sales meetings, skill building and professional development classes.
- Controlling prices by ensuring maximum sales volume while maintaining margin
- Coordinating with customer service and fulfillment to ensure delivery commitments to clients are met or exceeded.
- Emphasizing service or product features and benefits, discussing credit terms, quoting prices, and preparing orders.
Required Skills, Experience and Education
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.
- Exceptional demeanor, energy, motivation, and time management skills.
- Skilled typist. You must be able to type rapidly and competently while on the phone.
- Proven ability to multi-task in a cross-functional computer environment
- Expert level knowledge of Salesforce.com or equivalent CRM
- 5-10 years of sales experience in a B2B environment
- 2-3 years of experience selling durable goods (not services) and chasing repeat sales
- Incredible attention to detail, including an ability to evaluate personal performance
- Ability to excel in a high-stress, ‘internet-speed’ environment
- Absolute passion for ensuring a great customer experience with every contact.
