This Position: Inside Sales -- Account Manager
This challenging position requires a candidate who is highly energized, has strategic vision, and is motivated to make a difference. The role requires 2-5 years of experience supporting outside sales staff and key customers by managing multiple projects across the organization. Key areas of responsibility: the RFQ process, maintaining & validating customer forecasts, communicating & driving follow through on actions items, & acting as the liaison to the customer. Candidate must have strong computer skills, especially using the MS Office Suite, (MRP exp required), ability to work in a demanding, fast-paced environment, and experience supporting customers & key accounts in a manufacturing environment. Requires a BS or BA or equivalent experience with internal sales support roles.
Primary Duties and Essential Functions include:
¨ Serve as primary inside contact for other new and existing accounts, servicing customer needs and collaborating with OEM and/or strategic sales personnel.
¨ Correspond and converse regularly to assigned accounts maintaining acceptable relationships inclusive of: communication of scheduling constraints, Push-outs/Pull-ins, etc.
¨ Get financial coverage (raising quotes and securing P.Os) for project development expenses (NREs, expedite fees, piece part price, material coverage etc.) as required from customer in a timely fashion.
¨ Obtaining, acknowledging and processing P.O.s, and forecasts from assigned customers, inclusive of entry into MRP system. Process RMAs as required.
¨ Reviewing of customer financial terms and conditions and ensuring mutual satisfaction with Micro Power’s terms and conditions.
¨ Utilize MRP system and software to enter orders, and communicate customer needs and actions.
¨ By assisting the Sales team, exceed monthly and annual sales budgets for assigned accounts.
¨ Coordinate efforts between different internal departments and external resources where necessary to resolve problems and concerns.
¨ Communicate effectively and on a timely basis to appropriate disciplines pertinent account information.
¨ Work with sales team to develop annual plans and budgets by account and maintain accordingly.
¨ Solicit and share customer feedback via Quarterly Surveys, Project Surveys, and any routine interactions with an eye towards improving our level of service to our customers.
¨ Work with assigned Sales Managers to determine pricing for quotations.
¨ Provide forecasts to Purchasing on a regular basis on assigned accounts.
¨ Active participation in Project and contribute to preparation for Status meetings.
¨ Interact daily with the Inside Sales Assistant and shipping department regarding status of daily shipments.
¨ Hold customers accountable for costs incurred on their behalf including expedite fees and overtime, and for drastic changes in demand which result in excess inventory at MPE.
In addition, the Account Manager must have a:
1. Basic technical knowledge of MPE products.
2. Maintain thorough account records.
3. Type and record quotes.
4. Participate in account meetings at customer locations as necessary.
5. Comply with all company policies and procedures.
6. Support ISO and FDA requirements.
7. Be able to sit for long periods of time at a computer workstation.
The work schedule is generally 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday, with additional time as needed and less than 1% unplanned absenteeism is expected.
