Account Manager








 


The Account Manager plays a pivotal role in maintaining client satisfaction and loyalty through ensuring exceptional service and creating value. The AM will have responsibility for day-to-day client work in order to meet agency and client objectives. The AM is the liaison between all internal departments and the client on all aspects of the engagement.


 


The AM will manage the ongoing details, schedules and workflow of specific client programs, including, but not limited to:


 


       Maintaining daily contact with the client and effective communication of agency recommendations


       Providing direction to the client team in meeting the client’s needs and objectives


       Scheduling and tracking jobs, including all internal and external due dates and client approvals


       Communicating and following up on deliverables and due dates with other client team members (strategy, creative, production, interactive, reporting, etc.)


       Proofing copy, art, and vendor proofs (bluelines, laser sign-offs, etc.)


       Revenue forecasting and updates


       Coordinating and providing input to campaign marketing plans, creative briefs, job matrices and data processing specifications


       Managing client billing process


       Communicating status of each job on a weekly basis to the client and other agencies


       Maintaining comprehensive job folders for each job


       Acting as primary point of contact for error resolution


       Preparing documentation before and after client meetings


       Setting up internal meetings as needed


       Supervising and training Account Coordinator assigned to their client(s) by delegating responsibilities while maintaining control


 


 


Skills/Requirements


·         Ability to manage multiple tasks at any one time.


·         Great customer service skills.


·         Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.


·         Ability to delegate.


·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


·         Strong proficiency with Word, Excel and PowerPoint.


·         Familiar with Adobe Acrobat and Access.


·         Knowledge and ability to use accounting software.


 


QUALIFICATIONS:


 


·         Bachelor’s degree


·         5 years Account Management experience


·         Demonstrated ability to exercise discretion and judgment related to client issues.


·         Ability to help analyze problems and produce a viable solution.


·         Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as part of a team.


·         Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
