ChemicoMays is currently recruiting for an Account Manager in its sales department who has recent experience working for  a specialty chemical company selling to Automotive, Aerospace and industrial manufacturers mainly in the Midwest.   The position will be based in Michigan and requires approximately 50% travel.

The candidate will be responsible for growing, maintaining and penetrating specific accounts along with identifying new business opportunities.   In addition, the ability to network within the industry, to develop a strategy to capture market share and suggest and develop product lines, and have knowledge of the specialty chemical industry’s values and the direction in which it is going. 

Education/Experience – Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering; chemistry; or other engineering/science fields preferred.  The selected candidate should possess eight (8) plus years of experience selling a broad range of specialty chemicals.   Knowledge of painting and surface cleaning industries preferred.   Additional chemical experience in water treatment, janitorial products and coatings is also desirable.  Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, strong analytical and project management skills required.
