Job Title: Account Manager/Territory Sales


Location: Duluth, GA


 


The need has arisen for a Account Manager to join this global organization which respects diverse perspectives, experiences and traditions as essential and values each employee’s contribution toward achieving our business objectives.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 


This position is responsible for direct sales activity within assigned territory, assigned or unassigned prospective accounts for one or more of Intertek's business streams which may include HVAC, Automotive, North American Conformity Assessment Services, Building Products, Medical, etc. 


 


This position will spend more than 50% of the time outside of the office making sales calls, traveling to clients, etc.

  • Work with East Regional Director of Sales to define and develop territory to increase new and existing sales

  • Identify potential clients via research and networking

  • Collaborate with Marketing Department for strategic positioning

  • Work closely with staff from Intertek divisions to position the Intertek service package

  • Conduct cold/warm client calls and attend/participate in trade shows

  • Create and facilitate client presentations

  • Maintain quote/order and lead levels

  • Prepare sales reports and forecasts and write and follow-up on proposals

  • Maintain sales database

  • Follow through on sales transactions

 


 


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS


 


•Bachelor’s Degree, Engineering/Business/or Marketing preferred
•Technical Sales Professional with 2 years direct sales experience and account management
•Track record of territory growth and individual account growth
•Excellent written and oral communication skills and superior presentation skills
•Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
•MUST be self motivated and assertive
•Strong organizational and time management skills
•Working knowledge of personal computers & MS Office software and some prior experience with Sales CRM Platforms would be a plus
•Ability to travel within the Southeastern states of FL, GA, NC, AL, TN, VA, MS and SC approximately 50% of the time.
