Job Purpose:


 


This position will support and assist the director and producers in the day to day administration of client accounts and insurance plans, including Employee Benefits, P & C accounts, PEO, Consulting and Individual policies. 


 


This position will be responsible for all aspects of the servicing and administration of client accounts and for building a solid relationship with each client, communicating and resolving issues, as they arise.

Duties:


 



  • Provides exceptional service in all aspects of client account management, responsible for researching problems; providing solutions; communicating underwriting and other decisions.
  • Helps employers and employees understand benefit programs by establishing communication channels, training meetings or materials and distributing plan documents, I.D. cards, etc.
  • Preparation of presentations and supplies as well as travel to client or other settings to provide training and educational meetings/classes for enrollment meetings; or educational seminars.
  • Obtains existing census and plan information, evaluates current coverage, marketing goals, proposal requests and reviews market responses.  Negotiates with underwriters and brokers to obtain the best terms, conditions and pricing.  Then prepares best proposal for presentation.
  • Makes modifications to existing plans; coordinates and communicates these changes with the carriers, clients, employers, employees and producers.  Maintains client database of all proposals, policies, changes, faxes, e-mails, any and all client, producer and/or carrier contact.  Timely and efficient follow up and documentation for all account and carrier related issues. 
  • Maintains agent/carrier websites as well as assisting clients with their administrative websites.
  • Compliance with HIPAA, COBRA both federal and state, Florida statues and applicable laws.
  • Helps develop and maintain department procedures, policies, files, systems.
  • Must update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications, develops and maintains a thorough knowledge of the insurance marketplace.
  • Accomplishes organization mission and goals by completing related duties as assigned.

 


Skills/Qualifications:


 


The right candidate must possess knowledge of employer based insurance products.  Must have strong written and verbal communication skills; including the ability to make presentations to all sizes and a variety of audiences.  Must be organized, have an eye for detail, and be able to handle multiple tasks or projects simultaneously while working independently. 


 


Florida Health/Life license and P & C CSR license (4-40) or General Lines license (2-20) preferred.  Proficiency with Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Office.  Experience with GBS benefit system a plus.  Knowledge of federal insurance laws such as HIPAA, COBRA (Federal and State), FLMI and state insurance statutes needed.  Candidate must maintain a professional manner and appearance, at all times.  We will only consider experienced candidates who can grow and enrich our firm.  This is a part-time postion that may result in full-time employment depending on performance and company growth.
