About the Job

What you will do

The Account Manager position is for York Factory Direct, which is part of our Building Efficiency business at Johnson Controls, a Fortune 70 company. York is part of our Unitary Products Group (UPG) where we sell residential and light commercial HVAC equipment and supplies through the dealer channel. This position will have a core group of existing York and non-York dealers, and require a focus on building relationships and promoting the York brand to capture greater share of wallet within the account package.  Additionally, success is dependent on promoting York and building relationships with prospective York dealers to increase the overall number of dealers in the territory.     



The ideal candidate would have HVAC background with 2 years selling experience, a great attitude, organized, self-motivated, can work independently, and the ability to build relationships with our dealers.



The Account Manager is responsible for meeting the sales goals of the Annual Operating Plan by developing and implementing strategies to continually increase top line revenue, maximize margins and increase market share for York Factory Direct. 



How you will do it

Build relationships with existing dealers to develop credibility, loyalty, trust and commitment resulting in sales growth. 

Actively listens, probes and identifies concerns, understands customer's business and speaks their language to anticipate and meet their needs.

Prospects, qualifies and sells new Authorized York Dealers in assigned territory.

Assists dealers in utilizing York Factory promotional programs and co-op to help grow their business.

Assists and trains dealers in all processes and procedures. (E-Commerce, warranty, ordering, etc.)

Provides business management assistance to dealers through the use many training opportunities. 









What we look for

Preferred

Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or a blend of education and 2 years HVAC experience. 

2 years selling experience preferred.

Dealer account management experience a plus.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.

Strong interpersonal skills and decision making ability.

Effective and professional communication and organization skills.

Solid public speaking skills.
