Base salary range: $60,000 starting base + commission

 

An immediate need for a leading organization in the wire and cable industry – an Account Manager with an industrial automation background to cover Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma and other areas as well

 

This Account Manager will be based in Boston, MA.  Their education and background will include the following:

  • A bachelor’s degree is required; Engineering is given preference.  Those with MBA’s are highly preferred.
  • You will have 3-5 years of Industrial Market experience with a Manufacturer
  • You will have a Technical Sales history with an Industrial or Automation Background
  • Proven track record of sales performance with excellent computer skills and presentation skills

 

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to all the standard objectives of a successful Account Manager:

  • Prospecting, Closing.  Managing the Sale
  • Showing initiative
  • Able to manage effectively time and territory management
  • Distribution management
  • Relationship Building

 

Your success will be measured by:

  • Total dollars Closed of new business
  • Minimum of (10) End user, consultant and contractor calls per week
  • Manage Project Funnel worth 30% of total territory budget
  • Expense budget
  • Performance to Sales Budget

 

The personality of the successful candidate will be one in which:

  • You have an ability to communicate and interact at all levels of the organization
  • An ability to overcome obstacles and achieve results
  • You have strong and clear verbal and written communication skills, can communicate effectively with all levels from production associates through to CEO.

 

There are some additional qualifications which must be met, basic as they may be:

  • You will be required to take a series of assessments as directed by my client in order to move through the process.  Also, should an offer be made and it is accepted, the winning candidate will have a thorough background check and must be able to pass a drug screen.
