We currently have an excellent career opportunity for an Account Manager to join our growing Sales Operations team. This position is an integral part of the Sales Operations Team with responsibilities including technical and operational pre-sale and post-sale support for Custom Biosciences (Novagen and Calbiochem Brands) products to customers in North America and to select CMGs (international Merck affiliates).
This person will be involved in developing solutions for customers and solutions for process improvements, utilizing project management approach to investigate, analyze and identify viable options and then lead the project. Leading the project, this person will interact directly with customers and EMD Operations and Supply Chain colleagues to develop solutions for Custom Services products. This person will also work in a team approach with other EMD customer touch points to ensure we maintain current business, grow new business and also improve processes related to achieving customer satisfaction.
- B.A. B.S. in science, M.S. preferred
- 3 - 5 years in biotech, preferably in a service/sales role
- Customer relationship skills
- Ability to communicate the technical benefits of our products & services to customers and work with colleagues on technical projects
- Demonstrated ability to understand supply chain and operational structure and suggest solutions to meet market and customer requirements
- High level of computer literacy / knowledge and experience with MS Office, Lotus Notes, SAP is preferred
