Account Manager (West Coast)

About the Job

Account Manager


Sell to a select list of targeted accounts.  Develop and maintain strategic partnerships within accounts and prospects at the Executive Level (CIO/CEO/CFO).  Engage resources from Pre and post sales consulting and marketing lead generation team, to close and deliver the best solution.  Identify and leverage business relationships with partners to deliver solutions to shared customers/prospects.  Develop territory/account plans and strategies to achieve goals and quota objectives.  Build and maintain an aggressive, but accurate pipeline.  Efficiently and effectively manage your time to maximize opportunities.  Key solution areas include logistics, inventory optimization, retail planning, channel management, and sales and operations management. After some initial training, the candidate must be able to deliver a level one solution summary on each of the key solutions.


 


The candidate should have skills in consultative selling, hunting for new business, and the ability to present at the CXX or boardroom level which result in creating, developing and maintaining strategic partners.  


 


Job Responsibilities:


*       Develop pipeline through consistent cold calling and email follow-up based on the integrated marketing plan established by i2


*       Lead complex sales cycles, including license, services and solutions to closure


*       Develop long-term strategies with customers to understand business issues and deliver value based solutions


*       Accurate forecasting


*       Defines content, organization and flow of project deliverables or proposals


*       Provides industry knowledge in relation to business requirements (current and anticipated), critical success factors, and key performance indicators


*       Consistently on time with completion of tasks and deliverables


 


 


Education, Qualifications and Capabilities


*       Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or other relevant discipline; MSc/Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering, Operational Research, Management, Computer Science or related field preferred


*       Team approach to opportunity development


*       Successful track record for selling large, complex solutions


*       Outstanding presentation and communication skills


*       Track record of consistent quota over achievement


*       Proven ability to identify potential problems/outstanding tasks, and find solutions


*       Highly developed communication and consulting skills


 


Requirements


  5+ years experience in selling Enterprise Application Software Solutions ($3-5M+ deals with 6-9 month sales cycle)


*       Must be able to travel


*       Must be fluent in English, fluency in a second language a plus.
