Unitrin Career Agency Companies, a Division of Unitrin Inc., has an exciting job opportunity in our Finance Department. We are looking for candidates to fill a Account Reconciliation Accountant position. This position is responsible for identifying, documenting and aging all reconciling items between the general ledger and the related supporting system. This position will also assist in the preparation and presentation of account reconciliations during the Company’s balance sheet review.
Essential Job Functions:
- Assist with accurately preparing general ledger account reconciliations in a timely manner
- Assist with the balancing of ReconNet and Oracle accounts assigned to the department
- Identify, communicate and resolve all reconciling items within a given timeframe
- Prepare journal entries
- Verify and import all unclaimed property files
- Prepare semi-annual unclaimed property state filings
- Accurately handle special projects as assigned.

Job Requirements:
Education / Experience Requirements:
- B.S in Accounting or 2-4 years related work experience
- 1-3 years general accounting experience
- Knowledge of Excel, Word, and Oracle
- Good verbal and written communication skills are required.
