Account Specialist

Position Summary: 
Make appropriate decisions and status accounts according to policies in regards to credit card accounts. Research and compile information.  Maintain documents and queues. Complete work in a timely manner.  Respond to incoming telephone calls from customers, attorneys, and agencies relating to Deceased, Consumer Credit Counseling, and Bankruptcy accounts.  Review current payment plans to ensure that the payments are made in accordance with Kohl’s policy and procedures.  Maintain daily and monthly performance standards set by Management.  Perform other related tasks as assigned by Management.
 
Primary Responsibilities:
· Under direct supervision, research and compile documentation as requested.
· Ability to work well independently with minimal supervision.
· Work to mitigate risk exposure associated with Chase compliance requirements.
· Manage and process files.
· Process proposals and queues in a timely manner.
· Maintain accurate account records by making demographic changes, notating accounts clearly, and statusing accounts properly.
· Professionally correspond with outside vendors.
· Make or receive various types of calls within the Specialist Team.
· Serve as a resource to associates and have the ability to take on additional responsibilities.
· Process legal claims to recover dollar losses.
· Process insurance claims.
· Perform clerical and computational work as required.
· Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
· Process various payment plans


Preferred Qualifications:
· High school education or its equivalent.
· Excellent time management skills and the ability to pay strict attention to detail.
· Strong oral and written communication skills.
· Ability to work independently and interact effectively with others in a professional manner.
· Intermediate to Advance skills in Microsoft Office Suite is required
· Flexibility with schedule during peak times.
· Regular attendance is key to performing the job.
 
* Work Hours:
· 2 Days 11:30am - 8:00pm
· 3 Days with a flexible start time between 8:00am and 10:00am
· Every other Saturday 8:00am - 12:00 noon
· Half day off during the week when working the Saturday
 
* This schedule is subject to change based on business need.
