About the OpportunityANNOUNCEMENT # POSITION TITLE DIVISION UNIT DESCRIPTION PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS 0909003 Accountant I/II (1 position) Level I: Grade 8 $41,811.54 Level II: Grade 9 $47,739.29* *Pending successful completion of initial 18 months Financial Services Financial Management § Performs professional accounting work in accordance with a prescribed accounting system and generally accepted accounting principles. § Reviews OHCA policy regarding provider reimbursement and researches alternative methods and provides recommendations on changes to such. § Maintains pre-determined queries in the data base system as related to specific reimbursement policies. § Analyzes and calculates non-routine claim payments. § Provides written and verbal guidance to providers on reimbursement issues. § Assists in maintaining billings to other state agencies and in maintaining and up-dating rates files in the system for a variety of provider types. § Assists in the maintenance of audit and contract files with different provider groups and in the maintenance of a Nurse Aide Training reimbursement system. § Bachelor’s Degree Finance or Accounting. § No substitution is allowed for the educational requirement. Preference May Be Given To Candidates With: § Accounting work experience; and/or § MS Word, Excel, Access, SQL and PeopleSoft Financial experience.
