DescriptionProvide clear, accurate information for managing and accounting for a segment of the business, in accordance with accounting principles,
goverment regulations and Company practice and policy.

This position reports to a Group Leader or Section Manager (in large departments) of the Department Manager (in small departments). Also
reporting to the Manager, Financial Analysts, other Accountants, Clerks and Stenographic personnel.
This level is for an experienced employee performing the routine accounting work for the Company. Is normally assigned an area of
accounting activity with general instruction, and results are only occasionally checked. Is responsible for accurately carrying out
assigned duties and for exercising judgement and initiative in detecting problems in assigned areas. Normally, contacts are limited to other
accounting personnel or immediate supervisor. May direct clerical personnel.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance

Tasks
  • Checking & auditing postings, vouchers, disbursements and data processing outputs
  • Posting & maintaining ledgers
  • Making complex distributions
  • Preparing financial statements
  • Preparing special analysis, estimates & reports, reconciling accounts
  • Incorporating policy into accounting procedures
  • Coordinating accounting matters with other departments
  • Serve as a source of information relative to his/her assignment
  • Provide all assigned periodic reports & information in accordance with schedules
  • Provide special reports & analysis as required for management decisions
  • Participate in management meetings to advise on the financial implications of matters under discussion
  • Alert management to out-of-line conditions in his/her area of the business
