General Job Description: Government Compliance Specialist
ATK Lake City Ammunition is looking for a subject matter expert to administer the companys government contract compliance program.This position includes significant interaction with Division management and government representatives. Specific job duties include:
· Review estimating, cost and billing systems to ensure compliance with Government regulations (FAR, DFARS and CAS) and company policies and procedures; develop and implement control enhancements.
· Prepare and conduct training as needed to ensure financial and labor charging compliance.
· Assist with ad hoc requests and special projects regarding Compliance issues.
· Prepare and administer forward pricing labor and overhead rates.
· Prepare the annual Incurred Cost submission of final indirect rates
· Assist in the documentation of proposed organizational and accounting changes to determine cost impact and cost allowability.
· Preparation and submission of changes to CASB Disclosure Statement
· Act as liaison between ACO and DCAA offices and the Company; negotiate resolution of DCAA audit issues on cost accounting practices, cost allowability, and financial controls.
· Support the auditor review of annual incurred costs and forward pricing submissions, and the review of all system audits: including the estimating system, billing system, labor system,etc.
· Job requirements
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
· At least 5 years work experience in a government contracting environment within a large corporation, preferably in aerospace and defense industry
· Working knowledge of FAR & CAS regulations
· Demonstrated compliance work in support of incurred costs submissions, systems and CAS audits
· Experience interacting with DCAA (Defense Contract Audit Agency) and DCMA (Defense Contract Management Agency) desired
· Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Access and Word); working knowledge of integrated software applications.
· Good organization and time management skills, ability to operate in a fast-paced and changing environment
· Strong written communication skills and proven ability to perform detail-oriented work
· Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to be able to interact with all levels of management and government representatives
