We are currently searching for an experienced accountant to join a team of motivated individuals within a growing company located in Westport, CT.  This position comes with a competitive salary, great benefits and strong potential for growth.  The ideal candidate must possess a bachelor's degree and have at least 3 years experience in an accounting-related field.  Additional responsibilities and qualifications are listed below. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·        Prepare journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts

·        Producing timely monthly financial statements with explanations of variances in sales, costs, and expenses as well as comparison to budget, forecast and prior year

·        Complete additional projects as assigned

·        Assist in documentation of policies and procedures

·        Provide analysis of systems and processes, offer suggestions, and assist in implementing improvements to current procedures

QUALIFICATIONS:

·        3+ years accounting experience preferred

·        Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

·        Strong communication, analytical and problem solving skills

·        Attention to detail a must

·        Ability to communicate and work well with others

·        Experience with partnership accounting a plus but not required

·        Intermediate to Advanced MS Excel and Word

·        Experience and understanding of Navision software a plus
