Job Purpose/Role
As Statutory Reporting Accountant, you will assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year end statutory financial analysis and financial statements for Allianz Life and related companies. Working closely with reporting team and various areas of the company, you will work on financial reporting and audited financial statements while facilitating a strong and effective internal control environment and ensuring Model Audit Rule compliance. Depending on individual’s qualifications this position will be either staff or senior.

Key Responsibilities
Provide thorough analysis of financial results on a statutory basis
Prepare statutory prescribed reporting for quarterly and annual filing with supporting work papers
Take the lead on footnote and supplemental disclosures included in the financial statements
Ensure technical compliance with accounting guidance and other regulations
Anticipate breakdowns and act to minimize impact and communication

Key Requirements/Skills/Experience
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
1 to 5 years of related experience
Understanding of accounting guidance specifically GAAP and preferably Statutory
Knowledge of the life insurance/financial services industry, a plus
Financial reporting experience is helpful
Excellent organizational, decision-making, problem-solving, communication and technical skills
CPA, CFA or other professional designation preferred
