Accountant - Tax

Thomas S. Monterosso CPA, P.C. located in Milford, CT is seeking an individual to expand our tax practice. The individual should be creative, innovative, knowledgeable, helpful to clients and able to offer guidance to staff, perform duties such as identify client issues, research various scenarios and prepare analysis in order to facilitate a solution, all within the confines of professional ethics.

Established in 1985, the practice has a diverse client base with a niche in the construction industry. Here at TSM CPA, P.C. we look beyond the preparation of tax returns and become true business planners and advisors for our clients.

The Tax Professional will work closely with clients and staff to secure the optimum in tax savings for all clients of TSM CPA, P.C.

Tax Professional will be responsible for:

§        Review of the affected tax return to insure compliance and client satisfaction

§        Planning

§        Consulting and implementation of strategies developed with staff and clients

§        Development or adjustment of the planning as needed to suit demanding client needs or changes in the tax law

Tax Professional must have:

§        Bachelors degree in Accounting

§        CPA, or

§        Master’s in Taxation (preferred)

§        At least 8 years of tax preparation and consulting in public accounting

§        Superior analytical and technical skills

§        Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, knowledge of tax software (ProSeries a plus)

§        Experience in Corporate, S Corps, Partnerships, Individual, Estates and Trusts and multi-state tax returns.
