Description

Position Purpose

The purpose of this position is to work with the Controller to generate financial reporting for the RAPP US network.

 

Duties and Responsibilities of Staff Accountant

  • Monitors all entries to the General Ledger
  • Prepare monthly reporting schedules (P&L, Balance Sheet, Working Capital) for review by Controller
  • Post all journal entries to support the generation of monthly financial statements
  • Perform all steps in monthly check list for financial statement preparation
  • Review and analyze monthly income statements for discrepancies
  • Review and reconcile all balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis
  • Completion of Monthly Reconciliation Workbook, and provide additional analysis, as required
  • Reconciliation of PeopleSoft ledger to final reporting package submission
  • Review of all accounts payable and purchase order activity
  • Maintain fixed assets and prepaid expenses schedules in FAS program
  • Maintain monthly reporting support binders
  • Prepare intercompany payment approval worksheets
  • Post all approved intercompany payments in eCash program
  • Assist Controller and Corporate Finance Director with quarterly reconciliation of intercompany balances
  • Assist Controller and Corporate Finance Director with audits and Sarbanes-Oxley testing
  • Ad hoc reporting and analysis for Controller, Corporate Finance Director and Director of Corporate Compliance

 

Other Duties as Assigned

Required Experience

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2-3 years accounting experience; Bachelor’s degree required
  • Strong computer skills (particularly MS Excel), PeopleSoft experience preferred
