Very successful Financial Services Firm in Wilmington, DE is in search of an Accounting Manager / Assistant Controller.  This is a high exposure position which provides an excellent opportunity to gain valuable career experience in a progressive company.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the accounting and financial reporting for the significant incentive and deferred compensation plans, including hedging strategies
• Manage and prepare SEC reporting
• Serve as the subject matter expert for the team in support of Human Resources, Legal Entity Controllers and Line of Business Controllers
• Prepare and review routine analysis and answer ad hoc requests for analysis
• Support Corporate Accounting Policies in handling technical accounting issues and questions
• Manage and review relevant Sarbanes-Oxley work for the subject areas
• Manage a team of  5 professionals

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• CPA required
• 10 + years of financial reporting and SEC experience
• 5 + years of management experience
• Public accounting experience preferred
• Equity compensation accounting experience a plus
• Exceptional technical accounting, communication and process improvement skills
• Must be accustomed to working in a very fast paced environment with multiple shifting   priorities
• Strong systems skills (Excel and SAP)
• Flexibility
• Aptitude to quickly learn and apply technical accounting processes
• Strong attention to detail
