Accounting Manager

Overview:  The accounting manager will oversee the timely accurate processing of financial information within the accounting department to deliver quality financial related information for multiple companies.  Duties will include reporting information to Corporate Finance in compliance with US GAAP regulatory practices.

Responsibilities:  

Day-to-day responsibilities include but are not limited to:

·         Monthly closing of the general ledger.

·         Reporting – review and analysis of the financial statements.

·         Preparation and review of accurate journal entries.

·         Supervision of Accounts Payable.

·         Preparation/review of daily cash flow reports.

·         Supervision of accounting team.

·         Special projects as assigned by the Controller and Director of Finance.

·         Supervision of the Inventory Process, Fixed Assets, and Depreciation Schedules.

·         Flexibility to assist with other accounting departments, as needed.

·         Ensure the timely reconciliation of all Balance Sheet and Income Statement accounts for the companies.

·         Provide various analyses to management.

·         Answer questions from the field and support personnel regarding accounting transactions and policies.

·         Prepare management tools and reporting as required.

·         Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.

·         Assist with maintaining all company policies within the workplace.

·         Assist with the preparation of budgets.

·         Assist with the preparing of monthly, quarterly, and annual required filings to regulatory bodies as applicable.

Education, Certifications, Experience and other requirements:

·         Bachelors in Accounting.

·         Supervisory experience 3-5 years.

·         Microsoft GP experience.

·         Experience working on cross functional teams with all levels.

·         Accounting and related finance experience 8 plus years. 

·         Ability to work in a fast paced, continually changing environment.

·         Understanding of complete accounting cycle. This is a leadership position in the Accounting group. 

·         This is a hands-on position and requires the Manager to work alongside his/her team on a regular basis.

·         CPA a plus.
